Seoul, South Korea’s 18Fevers has released a collection of 11 tracks on the 18Fevers Collection LP. The album consists of some of the very first singles to the band’s first EP, Death Punk Disco, to the most recent EP, Cut Me Up.
18Fevers formed in 2021 as the pandemic was still raging.. The band’s name – with the word for “18” sounding very similar to “fuck” in Korean – was a statement that the band was sick of the pandemic and what it had done to the world. The band set out to combine female fury and perspective with a more approachable danceable style that features hardcore punk, post punk, power pop, hip hop, EDM, and metal. The backbone of the band are groovy drums and bass that avoids cliche punk beats while the women attack with aggressive guitars and snarling but also heartfelt vocals.
