Dave Brown The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll was born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in Brownsville, TN (though her family lived in Nutbush). She met Ike Turner in 1957 while staying with family in St. Louis, MO. After seeing his band Kings of Rhythm, she pestered Ike to let her sing. One night, someone gave her the mic and immediately, she was the singer for the band, and shortly thereafter, Tina Turner was born. Tina performed with Ike until their separation and divorce in 1976.
