The Slackers Announces Release of ‘The Slackers Dub Classics’ on Bandcamp Friday

Tomorrow – just in time for Bandcamp Friday – New York’s The Slackers will be releasing The Slackers Dub Classics, an album which puts a Dub spin on eleven of their classic tracks off their three albums – Red Light, The Question, and Wasted Days. The new album was mixed by The Slackers’ guitarist and engineer, Jay Nugent. Legendary DJ Ranking Joe even makes a cameo on a reworking of the 1998 track “Make Me Smile.” The Slackers Dub Classics will be available for download on the band’s Bandcamp page. Pre-order for cassette and vinyl versions will also be available.

To help celebrate the launch of Dub Classics and the 30th anniversary of the band , The Slackers will be live streaming their next concert on May 21st at 7:30pm EST – filmed outdoors in open air and aptly titled: “Backyard Party.”

By partnering with streaming events platform LiveFrom once again, the show will be available as a VOD throughout that entire weekend with all star opening acts who will be announced soon. Tickets are now available, grab yours today!
