Kendra Sheetz Boston alt-rock duo Arrows of Athena has released a brand new single filled with their high-energy electronica sound. The new song, “Comets,” will be featured on their upcoming album entitled Daydreaming, which will be released in April.
The new single combines the dramatic sonic flair of the late 20th century with a timeless and historical story of perseverance from the early 19th century. It’s an ultra-sensory and star-gazing banger inspired by French wine and champagne pioneer Madame Clicquot.
Band member Jac-Lyn Gibson shared the following about the new release:
“I wanted to share her story and do it justice. As soon as I finished the movie, I read her biography rather quickly and then got to work in the studio. The songwriting just took off from there. It’s an incredible story of perseverance and proves what a woman can accomplish when told ‘no.’”
