Massachusetts-based power-emo band Cape Crush has released a new single today entitled “Place Memory.” In this new track, vocalist and guitarist Ali Lipman reflects back on a peaceful afternoon spent with her sister. But it was a day that never actually happened. Instead, it’s part of a daydream journey that was the result of life choices made along the way, and how the opposite of those choices exists in a parallel universe with a sense of comfort guiding the way.

“Place Memory” is the follow-up to last month’s “Calm & Delivered,” and is the title track to the band’s upcoming debut album out May 1st on Wanna Hear It Records.

Lipman shared the following about the new single:

“‘Place Memory’ is probably the song that best encapsulates the overall sound of Place Memory, the album. It’s a driving power-pop song with a big sing-along chorus. It’s got big guitars, big vocal harmonies, and a big group-sing at the end. If someone asked what we sound like and I could only show them one song, it would be this one.”
