Long Beach, CA’s Chase Petra has released a brand new album today, entitled Lullabies for Dogs, via Wax Bodega. This album is the follow-up to 2018’s Liminal. The new album is their best yet—equal parts unhinged and deeply introspective, balancing punchy energy with painfully relatable lyricism. All wrapped up in this ongoing tug-of-war between chasing your dreams and realizing adulthood is kind of a scam.

Vocalist/Guitarist Hunter Allen shared the following:

“A lot of this record deals with what it means to be an adult who’s playing music and also has bills to pay. “I’ve wanted to do this my whole life, and I’ve never second-guessed that–but now my frontal lobe is fully developed, and I’m starting to wonder if this is really going to make me happy or if it’s going to tear me apart.”
