Chicago based punk rock band Pure Intention recently released a new single entitled “American Muscle.” The song was written and recorded for their debut full-length album, which is expected to release early in 2026. 

The album was recorded by Fred Mason, a key player in the Chicago scene who beats the hell outta the drums in bands like Nightfreak and Satin Black. With Vez on guitar and Jojo on bass, it’s the same old song and dance with one exception: this is the first tune to feature the band’s new drummer Judson Jones.

Jojo shared the following about the new addition:

“I’m really proud of Jud. We just went on tour and played nine shows in a row. He didn’t miss a beat. We played ‘American Muscle’ every night and it went over really well each time. So we’re very excited to share this track with all our fans.”
