Boston-based alt band Count Zero recently released a new single entitled “Overthinking.” The single will be featured on the band’s upcoming album, Thought So. This release will be the first new album from Count Zero in 13 years. For many bands, this return to music would be seen as a sort of comeback or rebirth. But for the band, the promise of a new album is just simply what we’ve been expecting all along. Thought So will be released on November 8th with a BumbleBee Radio Presents release party later that night at Sonia in Cambridge, MA.
Band member Peter Moore shared the following about the new release:
“This is a song I started writing about someone close to me who was overthinking themselves into dark corners, but as I explored that I found it was me in that crawl space. Wouldn’t it be lovely if we could only stress out about the things we needed to? Instead, we live in an age of anxiety, and humans evolved to use that anxiety as a motivator. …We are predestined to overthink everything. Obviously we shouldn’t, but let’s love ourselves and accept this.”
