Edging Releases New Album ‘Concrete Cumming’

Chicago-based indie punk band Edging released their sophomore album yesterday entitled Concrete Cumming. The album contains nine rapid-fire songs that average well under two minutes each which delve deep into the complexities of the human experience. Drawing from direct experiences with mental health struggles, trans and queer identities, societies inevitable collapse and everything else in the middle, this is an album that serves as a cathartic exploration of trauma, misogyny, grief, and social injustice.

The Concrete Cumming sessions were tracked in short intense bursts with Evan Bernard (Spirit of the Beehive, Soul Glo, Mannequin Pussy) in Philadelphia and in Chicago over a total of three days while mastering is courtesy of legendary engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, The Jesus Lizard). The album is the follow up to 2023’s Good Sex Music.
