Boston, MA’s Girl with a Hawk recently released a new single entitled “Share It All.” The single was released on Rum Bar Records and is accompanied by a lyric video which was directed by Joan Hathaway.
Looking out at the world through a lens of oneness, the Americana-leaning “Share It All” comes fresh off the release of last month’s call-to-action folk song “#VOTE (Rock The Boat),” and continues to expand Girl with a Hawk’s creative sonic palate. It’s a song of compassion, kindness, and selflessness – as evidenced in front person Linda Viens’ weathered and weary but ultimately hopeful delivery.
Viens shared the following:
“‘Share it All’ is about a way of looking at the world through the lens of our oneness, not our differences. It draws from the Stoic concept of Sympatheia; that we must look after one another because we are all one, part of an interconnected cosmos. We are cut from the same human cloth, and breathe and think and live the same, no matter what superficial differences may appear to exist.”
