Kendra Sheetz Earlier this month, Philadelphia glam punk champions Gripper announced that they will be releasing their debut album, Another Night of Fun on Me, on February 9th, 2027 via Stupid Bag Records (home to Swearin’, Dark Thoughts, Mopar Stars, and more). Another Night Of Fun On Me was engineered and mixed in Philadelphia by Harley Cullen, and mastered by Andy Corl.
The East Coast five-piece also has released a duo of new singles from the album including “Miss Behave” and “Other Bastard.” “Miss Behave” serves up a power-pop-meets-garage-punk reflection on burning the candle at both ends while “Other Bastard” is a ragged throwback boogie that sets unwitting self destruction in its sights.
Originally spread between the Jersey shore and New England, Gripper was born when members of Latewaves, Nylon, Street Sity Surf, Teenage Halloween, among others found themselvesall living in the city of brotherly love. Having bonded when crossing paths on the DIY touring scene, the dream team that is Gripper was formed from a shared desire to harness the energy and urgency of some shared formative rock influences of their childhood.
