Today, we’re bringing you a brand new single from a brand new Chicago band, Hi Water. The band – consisting of Dan Tinkler, Justin Yates, Ryan Terrana, and Nathan Spainhower – will be releasing their debut EP Read the Room later this year. The song, entitled “I’m Not a Happy Person, I Just Play One in Real Life,” is about how when someone makes you feel like an asshole for the way you acted, they may be wrong…. or they may be right.
The band had the following to say about their upcoming plans:
Hi Water is the child that resulted from collaborating on a record and not pulling out. We’re having a little party on October 11th at the Gman to celebrate the birth of our bastard tot. We’re incredibly lucky to have some of our favorite bands, Dreadwolf, The Reaganomics, and Sad Witches joining us for the evening. We couldn’t have asked for a better baby shower.”
