Memphis alt rock band Joybomb has released their first single of the year, “I, Paparazzi.” The song features a marginally re-tooled incarnation of the band, with new member Luki Luvsik (guitar) joining Grant Beatty (vocals/guitar), Conner Booth (vocals, bass), and Xander Sinclair (drums).

Engineer Matt Qualls is reenlisted from the Modern Scripture sessions, providing a trusted hand at engineering, mixing, and mastering this new single. 

Frontman Grant Beatty shared the following about the new single:

“‘I, Paparazzi’ is about self-surveillance, the degree to which we exploit ourselves and finely tailor and present real human experiences and desires to feed curated audiences for our own dopamine, social gratification, and sense of purpose or aggrandizement.”
