L.A. Drugz has released a reissue of their 2013 debut EP Outside Place out now via Hovercraft Records. The group features Justin Mauer (Clorox Girls, Suspect Parts), James Carman (Maniac, Telephone Loves, The Reflectors, Images), Cezar Mora (Bad Machine), and Johnny “JD” Reyes (formerly of Images & Bad Machine). The EP’s sound seamlessly blends classic power pop with melodic ’70s punk. It was produced by the band in Calimucho – Kevin Carle’s home studio – and mastered by Daniel Hadji Husayn at North London Bomb Factory.

The band has also released a music video for the title track which draws inspiration from the ’80s punk film Repo Man. The video was produced by Maurer, directed by Brett Roberts, with Ardavon Fatehi as the director of photography and FX by Noel Taylor. Roberts shot the video for “Outside Place” in as many locations from Repo Man as possible, even illegally shooting sans-permit in the L.A. River. It features cameos from the members of the above bands and others from the LA scene.
