Bay Area-based queer group Lolly Gaggers has released a new EP today, entitled Low Hanging Fruit. Following the 2021 release of their EP Songs For A Plague, the Gaggers bring their danceable Post-Punk style with growling animosity to their new six-track release.
Lolly Gaggers formed in response to the outcome of the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Known for their introspective lyrics and confrontational stage presence with a swing, the band combines a growling intensity with danceable hooks, developing a homegrown sound akin to Darby Crash swapping spit with Robert Smith in a Country Western bar.
The band will be celebrating with a record release party along with Moira Scar and Simulation at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco on Friday, September 9th. They’re also heading out on a mini-tour of the Pacific Northwest.
