Today, we’re premiering a new track from Los Angeles-based musician Lolo Meares. The song, “Another Year,” is part of the Road Angel Project which is the brainchild of Inara George (The Bird and the Bee).

“Road Angel Project: Volume 3” will be released tomorrow, October 23rd and like the two prior editions in the series, all proceeds will be donated via a partnership with Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. The COVID-19 Relief Fund at Sweet Relief provides financial assistance to all types of career musicians and music industry workers who have lost income due to the global pandemic.

Lolo Meares had the following to say about the new song:

“I began writing this song late one night around the new year, trying to articulate the feeling of a not-so-dramatic moment of disconnection between me and my husband. As it took shape, it became less about that specific moment and more broadly about a relationship with time, the inevitable measuring stick, and the innocently human ways we miss connecting with one another, including ourselves. The line, ‘in a way we’re giving up’ is a bittersweet encouragement — let’s make this time-thing our friend rather than our enemy.”
