Making Friends As Adults Releases New Single “Cupid’s Mistake”

Baltimore-based band Making Friends As Adults has released a new single entitled “Cupid’s Mistake.” The song will be featured on the band’s debut album, New Road, which will be self-released but the band on September 5th.

The band originally formed in 2023, the energetic four-piece rock band combines elements of melodic punk, emo, post-hardcore, and math rock. Lyrically, the band compels the audience to explore the emotional highs and lows of relationships, mental health, and self-acceptance.

Making Friends As Adults shared the following about the new single:

“What thoughts enter a person’s mind when a relationship ends in turmoil and heartbreak? It can spark feelings that cause a person to see red as their mind is invaded by rage-induced thoughts. Written on Valentine’s Day, the song follows two lovers during a single night attempting to find resolution to their troubles, but ultimately come to the realization that there is nothing to salvage. The fast-paced, aggressive sounds and dark lyrics reflect the frenzy of emotions and anger our protagonist experiences during this event. This is definitely a break-up song!”
