Toronto-based punk/indie band Mavis has released a brand new single entitled “Holy Shit, I’m Sorry.” The new track was recorded and produced by Steve Rizun (The Flatliners, Pkew Pkew Pkew, and The Penske File).
The band describes this song as their “most experimental track yet, fitting for any fans of The Replacements and Menzingers.” It beings with a slower vibe, but leads to an explosive chorus which transitions into a larger bridge with a dynamic sound that blends punk rock with Indie/Alternative vibes and a chanty outro that makes you want to turn up the volume all the way through the end. With the drums and bass providing a solid backbone rhythm to the song, the guitar riffs really complement the vocals and mesh well with the overall sound, providing a perfect cohesion of layers that really bring out the energetic and uncompromising feel of the song.
