Kendra Sheetz El Paso, TX’s Mia Antifa recently released their debut album, Coming Home. The release is a collection of 12 songs chronicling the band’s lead singer and songwriter Shua Zermeño struggles with his addictions while also delving into scathing social commentary. While drawing on the legacy of bands that evoke a 90s and early aughts punk nostalgia, the album represents a sound that resists fully being pinned down and includes melodic horn lines and bossa nova influences.
