We’re premiering a brand new single from Chicago’s OK Cool. The song, “Self-Sow,” is one of two new tracks that the band has released today. The double release was preceded by 2021 release of their EP Surrealist in 2021. The charming duo – consisting of Bridget Stiebris and Haley Blomquist – creates noodly Math Rock and queer-themed Shoegaze.
“Self-Sow” is the second of the singles to be released. The band describes the first single, “Time And A Half,” as a reaction to the twisted sense of time caused by the ongoing pandemic.
“Everything we used to mark the passing of time has disappeared. It’s about grappling with your changing sense of what you knew and thinking… maybe none of that mattered anyways.
