Kendra Sheetz Queens, NY-based heavy indie pop project Pink Mexico has released a new album entitled Mirrorhead. The collection of 11 songs is the band’s fifth studio album, and their first for Californian label Quiet Panic. Mirrorhead was produced, recorded, engineered and mixed by Jeremy Scott and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins).
In this new effort, Robert Preston Collum and company take the surfy indie rock that pervaded their previous album releases and pushed it into the darkest sonic corners yet. Mirrorhead is not only a record but a recollection of memories and experiences embroidered through experimentation and through the reconstruction of self. The result is Pink Mexico’s most definite and tangible work.
