Queens-based quintet Power Trash has dropped their new EP, Some Old Tragedy. The debut effort is a collection of thrashing post-punk jams defined by soaring guitar riffs, dexterous synth, unrelenting rhythms, and epic melodies.
The band’s members include veterans of the NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey Alt/Punk scenes: Brian Deodat and Pierce Lydon (ex-CUTTERS), Greg Furlong (Moot Point), Conor Lydon, and Kevin McAuley. The project was produced by Rick Napley and mastered by Jesse Cannon (The Cure, The Misfits, Animal Collective).

I have been listening to this on Spotify, and the album rocks! Elements of rockabilly, the Cure, and a whole lot of The Clash, it is a great first album. Can’t wait to see them in the city some time.
