Kendra Sheetz Punk supergroup Fake Names recently released their new album entitled Punk Ruins. This effort is the band’s first new music in three years!
The album was recorded live at Electrical Audio in Chicago and merges the urgency of D.C. post-hardcore with sharp power-pop hooks. Throughout, the album dissects the political manipulation and social neurosis of modern life, while holding onto punk’s salvation.
The band includes Brian Baker (Minor Threat, Dag Nasty, Bad Religion), Michael Hampton (S.O.A., Embrace, The Faith), vocalist Dennis Lyxzén (Refused, INVSN), bassist Johnny Temple (Girls Against Boys, Soulside), and their new drummer Mario Rubalcaba (Rocket From The Crypt, OFF!).
