Red Scarves Premieres New Single “Headlight”

Photo: Kate Tun

Today, we’re stoked to be premiering a new single, entitled “Headlight,” from Red Scarves. The Chicago-based quartet aimed to sound like the band Television with this one. Some of the band members met when they were in college nearly 10 years ago.

Band member and songwriter Braden Poole had the following to say about the new single:

“‘Headlight’ started out as a jam around 6 years ago. It reminded us of a sound that would’ve lived in the world of the 70s New York punk scene. We nicknamed it ‘The Television jam’ and it would poke its head during rehearsal once every year or so.  We recently felt the urge to hit the studio and lay something down and decided to finally turn this jam into a standalone song about dangerous driving conditions but more generally about the feeling of uneasiness.”

Stream “Headlight” below and keep coming back for more from Red Scarves, as the band will be releasing more singles throughout the this year.
