Satanic Puppeteer Orchestra Premieres New Album ‘Get Down to Business’

We are so very excited to be premiering a brand spankin’ new album from the Satanic Puppeteer Orchestra, a performance art band fronted by a robot singer out of San Diego, CA. The EP, entitled Get Down to Business, features 8 new tracks.

Get Down to Business is described by the band as a “white collar industrial album” in which white collar is the new blue collar. The tracks updates the factory machinery samples of industrial music to include sounds found in cubicles. Song titles like “For the Shareholders,” “Paper Jam,” “Open Enrollment,” and “Just Following Up” send a shiver down the spines of anyone who has had to chain themselves to a desk only to stare at a computer from 9-5. There is even a song where the verses  were crafted using a custom-built buzzword generator which created corporate speak that sounds meaningful but is actually just jargon.

The EP also features liner notes written by Martin Atkins (PIL, Pigface, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails) in a MadLibs style quarterly employee review format. Get Down to Business will be officially released on Friday, November 21st. It follows the recent release of a 24 song album, Phantom Quests, which serves as a soundtrack for a new video game of the same name! Fans don’t just get to listen; they enter the retro video game with tokens, tickets, and even a printed strategy guide!

Stream the newest album in full below and order your copy today. And if you’re in the Chicago area, we better see you at Park West this Friday!
