Olympia, WA’s Storm Boy has announced the release of a new EP, entitled SUPERPOSITION!, which will be out on October 15th. The band has also released a brand new single, “GHOSTS!”, off the new album. SUPERPOSITION! represents a turning point for Storm Boy where they find themselves feeling out of step, out of phase, out of position, and out of alignment… in a state of super position where they’re feeling the burden and the joy of being multiple things at the same time, very much depending on how they’re observed.

About the EP, vocalist/guitarist Chas Roberts shared the following:

“I was thinking a lot about how we’re positioned as ‘the fun band with heavy thoughts’ or we’re ‘the punk band that seeks connection,’ or, personally, we’re a band at many points in life… from Jeremy and I having played in bands forever and having families, to Kuba, deep in his place, and Charli who, with Storm Boy, has joined her first band and is taking the opportunity to announce her presence… a state of SUPERPOSITION! being multiple places at the same time, is exactly where we are.”

This concept is brought to life  with the physical media offering of 4 variant covers, featuring 4 different track orders, offered in white sleeves. The covers feature images by Olympia, Washington photographers Clara Philips and Andrew Repcik.
