Kendra Sheetz Oakland-based band Sympathy Flowers recently released a new single entitled “In Solitude.” The song will be featured on the band’s new and upcoming debut full-length album which will be released by Cellofame Records on September 5th.
The Bay Area band formed in 2023, rise with the conviction to challenge, to disrupt, and to dance. Their sound is rooted in punk, with dark elements of death rock and the commanding presence of anarcho.
Their debut album, Dreams of Lurking Fear, is a 12” 45 rpm which is both a declaration of danceable defiance and a collection of crucial anthems for these desperate times. The anthemic hooks and relentless rhythms cut through the assailing noise of tyranny, leaving themes of struggle, loneliness, regret and resilience in their wake.
