North County San Diego Melodic Punk band Taking On Water has released their their sixth digital release, Ordinary, via all major streaming platforms. While six releases sounds like a lot for a band which started in mid-2019, front man Greg Marsh explains:
“We never planned to release so much stuff. Either our drummer Dustin was going in for another shoulder op or Paddy was in Ireland. So, it always suited us to record a bunch of songs prior and Paddy, who does all of our recording, would put it all together on our down time. It’s resulted in us having a shit load of songs and no idea how to play most of them. We’re trying to remedy that.”
94 Records will be offering up a vinyl release of the EP in the US and Melodic Punk Style out of Europe will be releasing it on CD! Totaling six tracks in 15 minutes, the components of Ordinary vary in style but gel together via high tempo, melodic hooks, harmonies and Punk attitude. The EP was recorded, mixed and mastered at The Tracks Studio in Carlsbad, CA, by Taking On Water guitarist and part vocalist Paddy Trolan.
