Salem, MA-based grunge-pop band The Fool’s Agenda recently released their latest album, Fool’s Gold. The new release is the band’s sophomore album and is an expansive callback to other generations and genres from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.
While members of the band – including vocalist Rhiannon Raine – were either not or just barely alive during the golden ‘90s era, they still were able to captured the decade’s essence at maximum volume.
Rhaine shared the following about the new release:
“This album tells a story of coming home to yourself: Accepting yourself with where you’re at, owning your strengths and your weaknesses, and knowing when to walk away from the things and people that aren’t serving you anymore. Life is messy as fuck. Own your mess and decide it’s beautiful.”
Guitarist Kyle Erickson agrees, adding:
“To me, this album is about independence. Being able to cut through the noise, so to speak, and just focus on things that matter. Recognizing your own faults and those in the world we live in and trying to make something positive of it.”
