Kendra Sheetz San Francisco’s The Okmoniks has released their newest LP, entitled Afterparty Fever!!!!, via Slovenly Recordings. The band is comprised of Helene 33 on organ and vocals, Sammy on guitar, Jason on bass, and Pascual on drums, and blend early punk and garage rock influences into a sound that’s as raw as it is infectious. Afterparty Fever!!!! features original compositions and self recordings, showcasing their songwriting prowess and a deep connection to their DIY musical heritage.
Guitarist Sammy shares:
“Unlike a lot of garage or budget rock bands, The Okmoniks write our own songs. But we had to pull one of our favorites out for this record, ‘Cry A Little Longer’ by a 60s punk band from Tucson called The Grodes.”
