The Rupert Selection Streams New Album ‘Crumbs for the Sun’

Today, Boston-based psych-grunge and alt-rock band The Rupert Selection has released their new album, Crumbs for the Sun. This midweek drop date is appropriate, as the band delivers an album which is a throwback in nature, reflecting a time when extended listening helped truly understand a piece of recorded music and the band that created it.

The seven songs on the album were recorded with producer Brian Charles (The Sheila Divine) at various spots around the city (Zippah Recording, Mad Oak, Q Division, New Alliance Audio, and Rare Signals).

Band member Reilly Somach had the following to say:

“The title has been kicking around for years and we all greed it just felt right for this one early on. Since this album was recorded at different places and at different times, it now feels like a collection of snapshots that, when together, tell the story of the last two years. Scattered crumbs that build to something bigger.”
