Kendra Sheetz Appalachian DIY-lifers Tucker Riggleman & The Cheap Dates have released a new single entitled “Shotgun.” The new single will be featured on the band’s sophomore album, Restless Spirit, which will be released on February 17th, 2024 via WarHen Records. Following the success of the band’s debut Alive and Dying Fast, West Virginia songwriter Tucker Riggleman channels his surroundings, influences and frustrations into the most cohesive album of his career.
The new single is laced with metaphors for mental health and the saving grace of music in a tight blast of countrified power pop. The Cheap Dates fire on all cylinders with some help from Jason Brown (Sugarbelli) on vocal harmonies, and Lee Carroll (The Judds, Exile) on keys.
