Twisted Limbs Releases New Single “Battery”

Ottawa grunge punk band Twisted Limbs has come out of the trenches after 6 long years and have released a new single entitled “Battery.” The band was active between 2015-2017 but disbanded before the release of their debut album, Punched in the Face. The band consisted of three twisty besties Adrien Idiot, Riley “Rye Bread” Whelan Taylor and Donavon “Donzo” O’Leary. Unfortunately, on March 31st, 2022 Riley passed away. To honor his memory, Adrien and Donavon teamed up with Dana Wiesbrock to record one of the last songs Rye Bread ever wrote for the band.

The band shared the following:

“‘Battery’ was written amidst a lot of depression. We took Rye’s words and added a few of our own. Maybe it’s what we wish we could have said, maybe we just miss our friend. We want people to know ‘it’s okay, not to be okay”. Seek help when you need it, and always tell your loved ones, you love them.”

Stream “Battery” below. Twisted Limbs also would like you to know that you can make a difference by donating to Royal Ottawa or Riley Taylor Memorial Award at Carleton University.
