Your Friend, Death Releases New Single “Oh Come On”

Canadian band Your Friend, Death (previously known as The Boneheads) has released their sophomore single under this new band name. “Oh Come On!” is an anthemic rock song about avoiding a broken-hearted encounter by reminding yourself that you are better off. The title comes from a friend of the band, as somewhat of a dedication. The song tells the story of chasing a past lover who’s already moved on and committed to someone else.

Bandmember Ryan Boyer shared the following about the new release:

“There’s this girl that the band is close with, and she has a catch phrase that we know and love her for. She would always say ‘oh come on’ as a comical response to being told some dramatic information. I thought naming the song after the phrase would be a great way to dedicate the song to her. We’re not going to name drop her, but she knows who she is… Our favourite lyric that engulfs the story of the song is: ‘I’ve got room for one more heartache, but that’s not enough, not even for me’.”
