Zephyranthes Shares New Single “Diet of Earth”

Raleigh, NC-based band Zephyranthes has released their newest single earlier this month. The song, entitled “Diet of Earth,” also comes with an accompanying video showcasing the band’s live performance of the track.

Zephyranthes is a futuristic Rock trio that melds Psychedelic, Progressive, and Math Rock sensibilities together with a sense of accessible minimalism. American Indian guitarist Elijah Melanson formed the band following the sudden loss of a parent and of a rising career that saw highs of international touring, festivals, and late night show performances with Progressive Rock band Helicopria. Ripe with grief and eager for transformation, Zephyranthes was formed in 2015 to explore the dichotomies of his aesthetic roots, the experimental and the mainstream. With additions of drummer Alex Jolly (Frontside, Solar Bear) and multi-instrumentalist Logan Maxwell (Vacant Company, Tumbao) the group has come together to breathe organic new sounds into an aging prog rock aesthetic.
