Brooklyn-based rock meets rock drenched punk trio MONTE has unveiled their new single and an accompanying music video. The song, “Dysfunctional Mess,” shows that band taking a cold, hard look at themselves and making peace with their inner-demons.

For lead singer / guitarist Caitlin Montclare, sharing this song is a way of understanding and healing her experience while connecting with others in similar situations. She confides:

“‘Dysfunctional Mess’ rose from the ashes of a bad break-up. But don’t get it twisted, this is more than your typical ex-lover diss track. It’s about taking yourself back, knowing who you are, and coming out of a toxic situation more knowledgeable and grown.”
