Brooklyn, New York-based indie band Sharkswimmer has releases their latest single, “Meticulous Reach,” along with an accompanying music video. The song is featured on the band’s upcoming EP Course Correcting, which will be released via Trash Casual. The new album was recorded with Brian Dimeglio (Bartees Strange, Pinkshift, Superbloom) and mastered by Jon Markson (Drug Church, Koyo).

“Meticulous Reach” centers on a relationship in the early stages of collapse, where paranoia and overthinking begin to take hold. As the band puts it, the song explores:

“all the paranoia and stories we can allow to bubble over in the process of letting go,” often turning inward to the point where we become “our own worst enemy, digging at ourselves — conducting trainwrecks / initiating all this pain.”

The band pairs the track with a natively shot vertical music video, an intentional format choice that reinforces the song’s claustrophobic, internal perspective while aligning with how audiences actually consume video now.
