Toronto’s SWiiMS has released a brand new single entitled “All I Die For” along with an accompanying music video. The song will be featured on the band’s upcoming full-length album, Into The Blue Night, which will be released on November 10th.

SWiiMS formed during the summer prior to the COVID-19 pandemic after Mai Diaz Langou and Colin Thompson connected through, of all things, a local Craigslist Musicians Wanted ad. Both guitarists and vocalists, their chemistry was instantaneous. The addition of bassist and vocalist Cian O’Ruanaidh followed shortly thereafter and everything clicked.

Into The Blue Night was written and recorded over the last year and the album’s twelve songs reflect a range of personal themes that the band have experienced first hand. Navigating fear of death, loss of faith in humanity throughout lockdowns, collective grief, resilience in relationships and falling in love are some of the topics the band digs into.

Mai Diaz Langou had the following to say about the new single:

It’s about “…the beginning stages of a relationship – how you try to make yourself more intriguing or impressive than you are in order to keep that person interested. The feeling of hopefulness, bliss, and loss of control that the start of any new relationship brings.”
