When I first discovered The Backseat Lovers, I could tell they would be pretty good live. They hold so much emotion and passion in each one of their songs too. With having little idea of what to expect, I entered the venue eager to see what would come next.
The opening act, Branson Anderson, entered the room wearing a simple yet practical country hat and attire. In addition, his voice was filled with grit and sharp emotion. Furthermore, the artist falls under the category of a Utah based folk-rocker. I also believe his sound is a perfect mix between Indie-Folk and Indie-Rock. His set filled the room with feel good vibes and a sense of belonging. I have always had a special place in my heart for Indie music as well.
The Backseat Lovers are also from Utah and fall under the category of Indie Rock. The members in this group are also very young and talented. Headman of the band, Joshua Harmon, came onstage with the biggest grin plastered across his face. Harmon also has the most genuine smile I have ever seen. The band started with an intro jam that faded into one of their most popular songs called “Pool House.” The crowd was ecstatic and the emotions in the room were instantly contagious.
