If I went back in time and told teenage me that she would see The Psychedelic Furs live, her response would be, “Shut UP!” followed up with an eye roll. Currently on tour, they made a stop in Philadelphia on October 10th at Union Transfer with Bash & Pop opening. If Bash & Pop sounds familiar to you, it’s because it’s the group that Tommy Stinson formed after The Replacements.
The “Singles Tour” is aptly named since Richard Butler and crew broke out some of their best songs from over the years running from “Dumb Waiters” to “Heaven” to “India.” His voice always and forever will leave me in a puddle on the floor, but thankfully that didn’t happen (this time). The show was absolutely fantastic. They are only on tour for a couple of more days so if you are in Chicago, Buffalo, Huntington, or Brooklyn, so grab a ticket now!
