Turnstile, Snail Mail, & Spellling in Phoenix, AZ

You really gotta see it live to get it.

Last night was my first time seeing Turnstile live and holy shit, they were incredible. It was one of the most eclectic mixes of people I’ve probably ever seen at a show at the Van Buren. Everyone was having the time of their damn lives and the energy was off the fucking walls. There was a pit before Turnstile’s set even started and it didn’t stop for the entire set.

Their most recent record, Glow On, was my first real introduction to this band. After listening to the two records before that one, I was convinced this band is incapable of of writing any bad riffs or songs. Someone said that Turnstile is Hardcore for people who don’t listen to Hardcore, and I can totally relate to that. I’ve never been a fan of Hardcore, but it didn’t take me long at all to become a fan of Turnstile.

They’ve still got a few US dates left, so do yourself a favor and get tickets right now.
