Kendra Sheetz Tulsa’s Hummin’ Bird has announced the release of their debut album, an LP entitled Underneath Scum Light, via Kansas City record label co-op Black Site. The album will be officially released this New Year’s Even with a show at Tulsa’s Whittier Bar.
The nine track album was recorded during the summer of 2021 at Weights and Measures Soundlab and is the follow up to their 2019 EP, Gutter Glitter. Chris Muth at Taloowa in Ossining, NY even mastered the tracks to be issued on vinyl!
They have already released two music videos of a planned trilogy. You can check out the video for “Flat Earth for Dummies” here and also watch “Cowboy Presidents” while you’re at it. The third and final single, “Kiss From a Rose 4 Xmas” will be released any day now so keep your eyes peeled and keep coming back for more from Hummin’ Bird!
