Kendra Sheetz Dixies List has released a new jangly pop laced single entitled “Drinking in the Kitchen.” The band is based out of Stockholm, Sweden and was formed in high school where two of the members bonded over their love of Stockholm’s underground indie and punk scene.
Singer/guitarist Valle Hedlund explains:
“My lyrics are usually based on experiences and observations from my surroundings in the nightlife of Stockholm but as the pandemic broke out and we weren’t allowed to roam the streets as usual I had to gather inspiration elsewhere, looking inwards. ‘Drinking in the Kitchen’ is about one of the small at-home gatherings that tried to fill the void the dancefloors left behind.”
“Drinking In The Kitchen” is the first of three connected singles that are set for release this Spring. The tracks were produced at The Dustward Studio in Stockholm’s Old Town by Stefan Brändström, who is known for his work with Ebbot Lundberg (The Soundtrack Of Our Lives), Holograms, and more.
