Kendra Sheetz Chicago’s Punk-fueled art rockers Edging has released dual singles, “Fuck You Sir” b/w “Sick Box,” which are featured on their upcoming album, Concrete Cumming, which will be released on April 2nd.
These two new songs channel the band’s raucous live performances and transform it into a visceral and unflinching sonic exploration of the human condition. “Fuck You Sir” deals a pointed attack at misogynistic prejudice. While “Sick Box” targets a broken health care system with an unrelenting battering of crunching guitar and honking sax.
The Concrete Cumming sessions were tracked in short intense bursts with Evan Bernard (Spirit of the Beehive, Soul Glo, Mannequin Pussy) in Philadelphia, PA, and Chicago, IL, over three total days, while mastering is courtesy of legendary engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, The Jesus Lizard).
