HeartBurn Records has announced that they will be releasing a benefit compilation on Saturday, September 15th. The comp, entitled Noise for Nor Cal, will feature previously unreleased songs, rare finds, and classics from bands/artists like Swingin’ Utters, Good Riddance, Kevin Seconds, Bobby Joe Ebola & the Children McNuggets, Coercion, Hilltop Rats, Dearly Divided, Dying for It, Stay Out, Michelin Embers, Jesse James, The Gutz, Year of the Fist, Ryan Davidson, Belle Reve, West By Swan, & more!
The label had the following to say about the comp:
“As many of you have probably noticed, California has been on fire (and not in the good way). As a Northern California based label, HbR has watched friends, family, and communities around us struggle through evacuation, loss, and unbreathable air. Between Shasta/Redding’s Carr Fire and the Mendocino Complex Fire (affecting Mendocino, Lake, Colusa, and Glenn Counties), over 1200 homes were destroyed and nine lives were lost. In the spirit of that solidarity through music which brings us all strength, we give you Noise for Nor Cal, a benefit compilation for the victims of these two fires. Bands and artists from up and down the West Coast have come together on this record to raise funds and raise spirits in these dark and smokey days. All proceeds of this compilation will be split between the Shasta Regional Community Foundation: Community Disaster Relief Fund and the North Coast Opportunities: Wildfire Relief Fund.”
Starting this Saturday, you can take listen to the Noise for Nor Cal comp via HeartBurn Records’ Bandcamp page.
