Today, we are so very stoked to be premiering a brand new single entitled “Compost” from Dallas, TX-based band, Morocco.
This single will be featured on the band’s upcoming album, Shitheds, which will be released on May 21st. The new album will be Morocco’s third EP on Cluttered Desk Records, and the first to feature bassist Bob Crash who showcases songwriting ability in the songs “Livin’ in the City” and “Leftover Beer.” The album was engineered and mixed By Ben Sanchez. It was mastered by underground icon Jack Conway (Fear, Riverboat Gamblers, Frozen Soul) at Enormous Door Mastering.
The band had the following to say about the new single:
“In our circle we’ve all gotten so used to calling ourselves trash these days. It’s like a point of pride. Like, yea I’m a dumpster fire but at least I’m still burning or something. It’s almost contradictory to the mental health focus that seems to also permeate the scene. With ‘Compost’ we try to align the two concepts. The opening line of the song asks ‘Am I a worthy waste of time?’ Well what is worthy waste? COMPOST!”
Stream the new single in full and make sure you check out the new EP on May21st when it will be available on streaming platforms and in digital stores!
