Red Kate Releases New Single “Home of the Slave”

Kansas City, MO’s Red Kate recently released a brand new single entitled “Home of the Slave.” The song will be featured on the band’s upcoming release, Exit Strategy, which will be released on November 10th via Black Site Records.

From the displacement of Native Americans to the enslavement of Africans to the present day servitude of the working class the song asks the question, “If there is no justice, what is the meaning of the truth?”  Guitarists Shaun Hamontree and Chris Kinsley, drummer Andrew Whelan and bassist/vocalist L. Ron Drunkard, accompanied by Lin Buck on Hammond B3 organ, hurl a wall-of-sound history bomb directly into our revisionist disinformation society. The LP contains nine tracks of unreleased material written and recorded over several years, plus three tracks previously available only on 7” vinyl.
