We are honored to be premiering the newest single from Chicago’s The Ableist today. The track, entitled “Aelita,” is the first single off of what will be the band’s debut full-length, Confronting the Daunting Prospect of Personhood, which is slated to release this Summer.

The album tackles large scale social and political issues, while remaining personal enough to take on depression, failed relationships, and approaching a life lived with cerebral palsy and experiences with ableism.

The song also features vocal accompaniment by the wonderful and vocally versatile Gillian McGhee (Turnspit). Stream “Aelita” now!
