Already Dead Releases Protest Song “Landlord”

Massachusetts-based punk band Already Dead has released a brand new single entitled, “Landlord,” just a few days after we’ve all had to pay the rent. An acoustic rager about how we’re all just one missed paycheck away from falling behind, the new song channels our collective financial insecurity into a relatable tale of perseverance.

Songwriter Dan Cummings had the following to say about the new release:

“I guess you could say ‘Landlord’ is about a feeling. The feeling of just getting by in life, with the looming knowledge that you’re one bad month, or even week, from falling behind. I’ve certainly lived with this before. Bills are paid, life is stable, but you still know that if you take any type of hit — financial, personal, whatever — it could still fall like a deck of cards. But you keep pushing, and keep those lights on.”
