Kendra Sheetz On June 5th, Bloated Kat Records is giving everybody something nobody asked for — Lookout! Pavid Vermin Ruins Some Songs, an all classic-era Lookout Records charity covers record. We’re premiering the first track, Pavid’s take on The Mr. T Experience‘s “Alternative Is Here To Stay.”
All sales from the album will be shared between The Food Bank Of Rhode Island and Save Pangolins, a pangolin conservation charity. When reached for comment about the project, Lookout Records founder Larry Livermore genuinely remarked, “I have never met a pangolin I didn’t like. Actually, I’ve never met a pangolin.”
The album features brand new art by former Lookout president and designer Chris Appelgren, and covers from all your favorite Lookout recording artists*. So get excited to hear Pavid Vermin put his spin on however many classic pop punk tracks he can manage to record before next Friday. It’s self-indulgent, it’s unnecessary, but it’s for charity, so you’ll look like an asshole if you talk shit about it.
